I think such cow parades are a huge deal locally, and the source of much pride for the cow owners...

Where I come from these cows would be quickly rounded up and put on the grill.

Is that why the cows were paraded with christmas trees on their head - poor loves!!  It was a great day out though.....even if all the villagers did look the same..... Wink

Epagny?  I'm not really sure.  I drove around the corner, traffic was stopped, and this spectacle went marching by.  I was completely unprepared and hanging out of the car window with the camera in the wrong mode.

I was headed to L'Etivaz but found so much neat stuff on the way that I didn't arrive until 5PM.  I brought home ~300 photos and I'm still sorting them out.

Now the question is why you would live in a city when the countryside is so beautiful :-).

As a child I went up with the cows. Once at the summit I tried playing an Alpenhorn. Good times.

There was a time as a child when I would run out and watch the cows migrate up and down the mountain.
