Re: I need an Insurance Agent to come to my house

A word of caution here
Local agents make you pay too much and make your life very complicated when you need to change something. Try to deal directly with the insurance company and cut out the middlemen. If you deal with an agent, make sure you understand the fine print. You may be lured into signing a 10 year contract and walking away from that is very difficult and expensive. Imagine paying 10 years for insurances which are overlapping or completely useless.
Insurance policies themselves are very similar between the providers. The products are almost identical in health, car and home. You can easily save thousands per year by making the right choices. Comparis.ch is an excellent service - in plain English.
Don't take advice or recommendations from local car dealers, regies or other local entrepreneurs. They recommend their friends or may even receive their cut of the deal. Geneva region is infested by these networks which largely rely on expats who don't understand the language, local customs and the legal system. Just steer clear from these people.
