help... any recommendations of a fab place with preferably view of the lake, maybe a outdoors roof terrace AND excellent food, where would you recommend? (anything but Parc des eaux vives, or the brasserie lip)
Thanks

One of the best in the whole wide world:
Philippe Rochat's Restaurant de l'hotel de ville (Crissier - near Lausanne); 3 stars in the prestigious guide Michelin. No view, setting is so so. But the food will bring tears to your eyes. The sommelier is also very knowledgeable and will propose some incredible local (swiss) wines.

As I need to keep within the city limits, as people don't want to have to drive back after a night of drinking, I shall suggest one or two of the above. Will be interesting if the budget will be approved on some of these places. Let's test the limits! :o)

If I remember right it has views of the lake. It's inside though, and it was a while back I ate there. Pretty flash though
