Oh well you can still go back and let them know, usually mistakes happen where people work. Its possible someone was new or an apprenticee who doesnt know everything.
All the best.

I often have the same problem, especially at the Eaux-Vives 2000 supermarket.
My “solution” is to take the goods and the till receipt to the “Service Clientèle” as soon as possible. So far, I have always been reimbursed immediately.
If I can’t return the item quickly, and it has to be used immediately (for instance, meat), I save the wrappingr and take that to Customer Service asap.
Of course, in a perfect world, we’d check all the goods against the till receipt before leaving the store but that’s rarely convenient or practical.
However, it’s worth the effort to report any discrepancy to “Customer Service” because, in my experience, there is never any question about a refund -- perhaps because Coop has a “problem” in this regard?
PS: I also advise checking Coop’s “use by” dates. Sometimes there are perishables still on sale at the full price for “eat by” that very same day.

One thing you need to be careful is if you get the COOPeration weekly journal, they have inserts that are sometimes adverts just for the Hypermaches and not the smaller branch stores. And also make sure you respect the days for the offers.
I also find using the COOP supercard and bon numérique, you can save alot. With the supercard/family card, you get alot more points=points you can buy food/good. Either at Hypermaches, COOP city, or their online site. To get the weekly journal and supercard/family card go to:
http://www.coop.ch/pb/site/uebersichtsseiten2012/node/73471345/Lfr/index.html
Migro also really good with point system=coupon money. and when you go for the 10X days/evenings. And they have also the Famigros card benefits similiar to the Coop family card. Go to :

Oh, I also forgot to say, I been to Coop Blandonnet, expecting an offer but they had no more in stock, and I looked at the sales, and it did say 'as stock are available'.

To clarify, I had no problem getting reimbursed. They were extremely efficient and seemed sincerely appalled by the fact that in my one grocery trip, I had four items that were not sold at the proper price ( this is especially bad because the registers have been making this error since Monday when the sales started).
I just mention it so that people don't have to return and wait 15 minutes like I did.

And for a little clarification on my part, I am, overall, satisfied with the services and the “points” systems of both the Coop and the Migros. But, as Dave G says, one needs to keep track of the date, place, hours, etc., of their special offers which inevitably takes time so there will always be occasions when it’s a whole lot easier just to pop into the nearest convenience store and pay extra. But those traders also have to earn their crust and I don’t suppose there’ll ever be a minimum wage for them.
