you know, i had this friend other day explaining all his technique to eat bread, nutella AND BUTTER. really, how someone can manage to it nutella immersed in butter?????

Nutella and peanut butter also works, but I can't find a proper peanut butter in Switzerland.

They've all had added sugar and trans-fat (partially hydrogenated oils).  Real PB is nothing but roasted peanuts and salt.

Sounds appetising, in fact I remember on a US visit trying real PB with low sugar delicious tangy Jam... I think they even pre mix it in the States so it all comes in one jar.

As long as there is no cancerous palm oil I am happy with it! Good idea, time to stock up. I found a lighter fluffier bread, its the green packaged Soya bread that actually tastes nice. After eating the same bread as you have in the picture it got boring. Miss the UK selection.

The bio food store in Eaux Vives (rue des Eaux Vives between the Migros and 31 Decembre) sells the Rapunzel brand which is nothing but peanuts and a little salt. It's pretty good.And it's cheaper than the palm oil stuff that Urban Bio sells.

there is a US shop in Paquis that sells lots of US speciality goods including popcorn and PB amongst other stuff

I hate you all. It's 15:30 - the worst time of the day for feeling hungry and you guys keep putting this thread back as the most recently updated.  Yes - I know I'm hungry.  I'm ravenous.  I'm salivating - and I don't even like peanut butter......

Gotta go - need to pop out to the nearest food shop.................

To the last 4 posters, off course I jest... I lost my appetite immediately on the thought...

Now I am thinking about tomatoe ketchip crisps or prawn cocktail... why does it not exist in La Suisse there are so few varities and they all taste greasy..

Go to manor and try the black pepper crisps they sell from the UK.. to die for ... also the vegetable crisps sold in carrefour

.. or the walkers crisps you can get a Jims store in france....

Somehow my pangs of hunger subsided after Charlie's reference to Sandwich Spread.

When I was young and stupid we had a competition at schooll to see who could bring the most obnoxious sandwich in for lunch (and eat it).  A guy called Peter Jackson won with a sardine and rice pudding sandwich.  This is not a dream I did actualy watch him eat it - competition rule

I wonder how many of us will have gained a few pounds by the end of the next 48hrs and sandwich ideas...

Makes me hungry again, as dinner time comes shortly.. the weighwatchers rolls at coop may be a good start...
