I do not specifically know Generali but could find out for you. Personnally, I am with Mobiliar for ages and they are particularly good in household and RC as claims are handled swiftly and without much paperwork. Plus as a mutual, you get usually some money back at the end of the year (this year they distributed again 100Mio to their policyholders). I have Generali home insurance for over 20 years. Last year my apartment was broken into and several things stolen, the claiming process was easy, no questions and they paid out very quickly. Just remember to keep all receipts etc.

Hi - thanks for your reply.  I am considering taking out insurance with them.  With all the insurance options on offer in Switzerland, its just nice to have some reviews from current or previous customers, specifically if they are responsive, easy to deal with and helpful.

How does one engage Generali as a customer?  Find a local agent, or is it all handled over the phone?
