A friend of mine will be visiting me for a week in September, and she'd like to do a one-week intensive English course (hopefully not too expensive).

An English language used for a business deal, foreign trip and for daily conversation. You can't handle persons without it and join any course for it. There are many short courses available for interested learners but I suggest you connect profile with an English teacher online, who will guide you to all aspects of the English language with the grammar.
