I have an android phone while my girlfriend is apple crazy and to be honest most it's rare that one of us has an app that the other can't get and use in the same way.  The only time there has been any difference is where her Ipad has newer os than my samsung (as it was bought more recently) so some new apps aren't available on older devices. As i am able to regularly compare I think there is no real difference these days, just the interface preference.

Just to be clear though, for me,  apple can suck it  lol

I've had the worst experience with an android device, but it's a hardware/firmware issues, not the OS (mine was a bad Samsung Galaxy)

After 3 years on iPhone nearly all of my critical apps could be found for Android too. Just be sure you get a solid device.

I am back on my iPhone 4 and am very very happy. 

yeah i have to say that i don't like the samsung handset i have, i think samsung phones fall wildly short of modern expectations, they should stick to cameras and tvs!  I'm going back to HTC when i upgrade next month

Nokia phones on WP8, try it out, very refreshing and they have all the apps now too

I never like iphone due to apple's closed systemness. I prefere to tweak my phone and tablet and i love android using samsung and htc for this.

I guess Android is more popular among people but i want to compare some intersting apps both the OS have.

I have also heard that iphone is leading as compare to number apps.Iphone has more than 2 lac apps and Android has less than 1 lac apps. But the main point is that quantity does not matter, quality matters. So i want to know some of the famous apps by both OS.
