Is it faire to me? (kick out by coloc landloard)

I'm here try to get your views as this is 1st time I'm suffering such kind of thing. Thanks to any advices in advance!

I'm currently co-locataire and sharing 1 room in an appartment (owner is living here as well). We went on very well since last year that's why I didn't actively searching for other appartments.

Just this week, since I've invited my boyfriend for staying 3 days (he came few times since last year as well) and we tried to not cook, nor staying at home in the evening and come back late in order to not disturbing the landlord. However, all these efforts go in vain as the landlord is not happy to see I went to work during the day while leaving my boyfriend stay at home with the key -- since we never cook at home to reduce unecessary inconvenience, he needs to go out for lunch during the day while I'm working far away.

So, today, the landlord sent me an email to ask me leave the room asap. and potentially I won't get my deposit back. The reason is that according to the contract signed at the begining, no other person is allowed to live here -- my question is, if she stick to the contract claus now, why she didn't refuse in previous times? nor even when I asked her weeks ago that if I can let my boyfriend to stay and she agreed?

and last point is, the contract signed at the begining is for 6months and since we went very well we didn't renew the contract. and in fact, she sub-let the room to me without notifying the regie from what I know (although she bought the appart, but not sure if this matters).

What should I do now to at least get my deposit back?

Sorry for the long text and I'm really helpless and feeling very bad with her change of behavious. I respected her in every possible way, even she oftern make noises and brings her friends at home for night party...

Thank you all.

I swould contact ASLOCA who should be able to tell you immediately if you have any chance of getting your deposit back and also whether it will cost a lot ; then you have to calculate whether it is worth your while

I would hope that a letter would be sufficient

You can also check what happens if you just stay put but <i think that could turn awkward . she ciôuld change the locks.

I would start looking for alternative accomodation immediately and work on getting your deposit back through ASLOCA
