The (bigger) banks also sell gold coins at official rates.

I'll have a walk around Geneva and stop in a couple banks.
I doubt they sell American coins, but I won't know until I ask, will I?

There's a small coin dealer opposite to Manor, in Rue Rousseau. You may give that one a try.

On this map, the UBS branch shown as "B" sells coins. Direct entrance to the coin counter is from Rue du Rhône.

Go to Google (maps.google.com) and put in UBS + rue du rhone 8, geneve and it should come up. I think they will show it as "Â".
