You should try the shops like Migros, Coop and Manor. They do recruit people who doesn't speak french very well and they always need staff.

Also the pubs do recruit english-speakers.

Hi Cecilie - it's a nightmare looking for work at the moment. I should know - it's been 6 months now...

It seems like every job I apply for, there are about 80 other people applying too.

As well as Wynn's recommendations, Swisster have a section for English-speaking jobs and you can sign up to receive an email update each day.

Yes, any ofthe irish pubs, da vincis are looking now and not speaking french is not a problem for them as most of the regulars are ex pats...

My french is TERRIBLE.. and i manage here no problem x

I suppose all the Irish (Pickwicks, Mulligan's, Charlie Oneal's, etc...) I would also try Lady Godiva and The Clubhouse!

Lyndsey: I tried to find the contact details of the irish pubs (already found the webpage ireland.ch for the 3 irish pubs in the area), but I don't see an email adress? Do you know if they have any? I would try to send my application, but maybe it's better if I show up in person?!

Cecillie, go in person... especially to da vincis, take a CV with you just in case...

maybe just take a few cvs to other pubs too.. you never know your luck x
