So I just made my first "cross country" trip from Geneva and visited Lugano. It was a blast! Has anyone else from here visited there before? The weather was pretty warm, the Italian food delicious, and the views from on top of Mt. Bre of the lake and city were amazing (the bus ride up and down the mountain was pretty wild though :w00t:).
I highly recommend visiting (it's about 6 hours by train from Geneva). We cut the trip there into two parts (2.5 hours to Zurich on Friday night, and 2.5 hours to Lugano on Saturday morning), so it was a bit more manageable.

Cool, thanks for the tip CDNSarah! Once I signup for Mobility car rentals, I'll have to make the trip by car next time. I imagine Lugano is a pretty popular summer destination :cool:

Lugano is great, I go down there whenever I can. I would suggest also visiting Locarno, they have a film festival in the summer and check out Bellinzona, the capital of the canton. The other way to go by train which I would recommend on a sunny day is also Lake Geneva to Domodossola in Italy and from there take a small train through the Centovalli to Locarno. It is really great!
