All,

Today (Thu) we announced (via email sent to all Geneva & Lausanne members) that the first 5 glocals members to email Opus1 will win tickets to see Katie Melua live next week.

Opus1 just told us that they received 200 emails today from glocals members (!!!), so the contest is now closed.

The winners are:

Christel Adamou
Terri Salter
Ahmed Sayani
Paul Spencer
Faautu Talapusi

Due to all the emails Opus1 receivd, they will only reply to the winners. Hope you understand...

If you still want to see the concert, you can buy tickets here.

I'm curious if such mass mailing to 16,940 mail boxes were done simultaneously? "mail-in" contest can only be fair if everyone is sent the same mail at the same time. I received mine at 10:07 am. Normally mass mailings are done in batches to avoid Anti-Spam systems from tagging such mails as SPAM.

Novecento - All the emails do not go out together. It takes a few hours to send all of the mails.

I agree that this is not the fairest way to do a competition, and next time, we will try to either announce competitions on the forums, or send out the emails a day or 2 before.
