Are you able to see statistics on how many people start the survey, then later abandon it?  I'm wondering if people look at the 2nd page, note that it gets a little more detailed, and decide to quit.

I have to tell you that's what happened to me. I'm way too busy with my own Masters thesis to be able to spend time researching all the quantitative information that you'd like to have in your analysis.

Not wanting to sound overcritical, but under no circumstances I would give the name of the company for which I work just for a simple promise that the data will be treated anonymously. Some of the questions may be sensitive.

Having said that, good luck with your Thesis.

Just thought that I would make clear that I realize that I would not be giving my name simulatneously. Simply there would still be possibilities to match an anonymous respondent with some very concrete worker within a firm. To me it doesn't matter however slim these chances are, even if I have nothing but good things to say about my employer. ;)

Christina. I rushed through the survey just to see if there are any trick questions at the end but then I sent it by mistake about 5 minutes ago. I read none iof the questions and just ticked the nearest box.  You will recognise because I put my age down as 1.  I also would not include the name of my company and i indicated as 'x' as such info is irrelevant to such a survey.  Also there are compulsory questions that i cannot answer and so I assume I am not elibigle to complete the survey as I am resident in -Switzerland and therefore have no been assigned here.  I applied for a job and then came here so all those bits on length of assignment etc I cannot fill in.  Await your info as although willing to help there are many glocals members who are not here on assignment 

One more thing.... The survey asks for the duration of my assignment.  Much to the chagrin of an increasing number of Glocals members, my assignment is indefinite.  I had to put zero.

if you don't have the time to answer my questionnaire, i absolutely understand that! i really know people who work are busy and have better things to do. still i ask, because that's the only way of getting any answers. 

as regard to the questions about the company: my professor wanted them to be included. i included them, because i didn't see there was going to be any problem with that - it's only the company's name.

only thing i can do is give my word that i won't give away the data, but if people don't trust that, that's perfectly understandable for me, anyone can give their word on internet ...

so, i am grateful for every single person who has finished the questionnaire and for every single person who will finish it, because there's no incentive or anything i can offer, all they do is help me.

i am not a 100 % sure, but i thought an expat is someone on a foreign assignment for a definite period of time. i say expat in the introductory text to the questionnaire. if it is misleading, i apologize!
