Kinky Boots?

Well that got your attention, didn't it Laughing

Question: I am looking for ski boots and I am most definitely in the 'beginner' category. However, I have seen a few for sale on e-bay labelled as intermediate or advanced. Is there much difference for a beginner, or does the boot only make a difference at a higher level?

I don't want to be falling off a mountain because my boots are too fast for my skis!

Hi David,

As you say you are 'definitely a beginner', I'd stick with renting boots from a ski shop. They'll give you the right advice, plus you can rent for the season (and change if you decide a pair are too tight/loose/ugly/'fast').  That way you can get used to which boots fit more comfortably until you decide which are good enough to invest in!  I used to rent here and their service was good: http://www.welcome-geneva.ch/penseyres/penseyres.htm

Hope this helps. Ali

Go with Alison's advice - or go all-in and have some custom-molded to your feet at Total Feet (was quoted around 400chf, maybe plus boots).

Sounds like good advice, although I may wait a while until I invest half my months salary on custom-molded kinky boots

Wink
