Btw, I am planning a windsurf session for a weekend in at the Bisenoir, close to Neuchatel.

Soory to be the bad guy, but I believe kitesurfing is banned on the lake.


It all started badly when an early practicioner ended up flying onto the road in Geneva and caused an accident.  Not a great way to get the sport "off the ground" so to speak.

I saw kitesurfers last week on friday on the lake ... maybe there are some areas where it is forbidden now?

Here you can see all official kitespots in Switzerland.

As far as i know until at least 2014 you won't be able to get courses anywhere except for Silvaplana lake.

I know Kitesurfers that go on Bielersee. Popular starting point is Lüscherz.
