Hey folks,
How easy/difficult is it to get a motorcycle / scooter license in Geneva?
Are there levels based on power or cc's?
Would appreciated any advice or pointers in the right direction.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

They don't seem to teach or test to very high standard here, based partly on the standard of riding i see and partly on the experience of a friend of mine who had instruction and did the test here, so you'd probably be better off doing it in The Uk if that is an option for you.
The big surprise for my friend was that once he had signed up for the riding school (they are a big one operating from the airport car parks) he realised that he was expected to show up on his own bike, as well as riding it unsupervised to and from the classes. It seems like a bit of a reckless start to a riding career.

Depends on your driving license.... if you change your UK one for a Swiss one, which you have to do after a year of residency here, then its likely you will get a "A" designation on your license which would allow you to drive a 25kW scooter (125cc) with "L" plates for a year. After then assuming you have had no incidents you can take the L plates off ...or something like that.
If you want to do a motorbike lesson and test... I think its a 3 day course, as Andy above stated, you can hire a motorbike (with a 25kW limitation) and take that to the test centre and learn... the trick of course is getting the bike from the hire shop to the test centre if you have never changed gears etc....
p.s Some of the 25kw limited bikes and scooters can still go well above 100kmph.... so make sure you fill in your "donor card" before riding...
