Legal advice needed
Anyone familiar with Swiss employment law? I'm trying to help a friend of mine - he's Swiss and he will be fired in a couple of months by a large company for which he has worked for a few years because of internal restructuring. He was told that he doesn't have the right to a compensation payment and that only customer facing jobs like marketing or sales are entitled to that - he's admin.

This seems very unfair to me - anyone knows if it's true?

Looks inpossible to answer without looking at his work contract. It is probably written what he should receive if his contract is terminated ,and when it should be done. If there isn't a compensation payment written, looks likely he won't get one.
