Good to see Switzerland as one of the largest nationalities here!
Korea... North?

Yes, because a lot of people have this a joke, I know some of them. But I am more surprised at the number of Swiss people. But perhaps significant number of these have more than one nationality...

I know that a lot of Swiss people use glocals to meet people who speak a good English in order to improve their language skills... makes sense.

Tea:
Agree. We're very happy to see so many Swiss on glocals.
I can't speak for them, but my own theory is that the Swiss folks who decide to join glocals are ones who have traveled around more than average, and want to keep in touch with the international folks. I assume many of these folks also use local forums, in addition to glocals.

I know one of the North Koreans well. He is comes from Uganda. Claims he hit the wrong button although do not know how a 'K' or an 'N' can be mistaken for a North Korean
Being Ugandan, he does not look very much like a North Korean in my opinion

How about the bottom 30? So that those in the top 30 can (welcome) help them integrate better?

It was a Swiss friend who showed me, a Brazilian national, glocals for the first time....and she didn't see it as a joke.
Nir, congratulations on 75,000 glocals, your site does a great job integrating expats in Switzerland.
Thanks a lot for putting the site together, organizing parties and making Geneva a more interesting place to live!

So are those of us who have more than one nationality counted twice in Nir's table? The total would therefore be greater than the number of members.

I'm quite surprised to see how many swiss people are on this forum. Would be interesting to know how many of them really participe.
As a swiss guy and a (proud) genevan, I'm also here because it interest me to see how expatriates see Geneva and Switzerland.
I went also with the idea to participate to some events and improve my spoken english, and well, talk a bit about Geneva when I see something interesting in the newspapers, or try to helps if there's something I know which can be helpful, things I have some difficulties to do actually.

Nir... How many dead profiles do we have in your stats? :-)

Impossible. I have organised walks where kiwis have been the dominant nationality (4 on two occasions). Geneva is full of them

Nir,
I agree with Kev303 that the stats are 'misleading' due to Inactive/dead accounts because many USA and UK nationals are here for 3-6 months and then drop off the 'Glocals planet'.
What are the stats of say:
Active - Weekly or more
Mid Active - Monthly
Semi Active - several times a year
DEAD accounts - not logged in for more than a year
I suspect there must be thousands of those accounts/member profiles. But maybe this is just too sensitive?

I personnally think that we are less than 10 000 active accounts. :-)
Glad to see 55 Costa Ricans... soon we will be on top of the list!!!
