Do you own an object you would never want to part with? Does it have an interesting story attached to it? If so, I'd love to hear from you! Please contact me to find out more. [email protected]

Hi Marianne,
I'm one of the guys running glocals.com.
If you want, we could email all our members about your request, to ensure you get what you need.
Could you pls let me know if you'd like us to email our members about this, and if yes:
- what radio is this for
- do participants have to come to a certain place for the interview, or is it over the phone
- will it take place in English
Merci,
Nir

Hi Nir,
Thanks for your reply.
As you probably know, World Radio Switzerland (WRS) is the Geneva-based English-language radio station that was taken over by the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SSR) two years ago.
The station broadcasts all over Switzerland on DAB (digital radio) and via cable, satellite and the Internet.
I produce a very short sequence for WRS called Moving Objects. People speak to me about THE object they would never want to part with and explain why it is so important to them, what memories it evokes, etc.
The segment is pre-recorded, so interviewees don't have to go anywhere or talk live on air - I go to them. It is also fairly anonymous, as the presenter only mentions first names, where people come from, where they live and what field they work in. Surnames and workplaces are not mentioned.
The interview takes about 10 minutes for 3 minutes on air. When I edit the interviews, I cut out my questions so that our listeners just hear the stories.
Moving Objects is broadcast on Thursdays at around 12.50pm and repeated at 4.40pm.
I am recording the next interviews in the Lausanne area from February 20.
Cheers,
Marianne
