I will be travelling to Oman for two months to attend an intensive Arabic language course.
Any shring of experience would be most appreciated.
My perfect plan would be to rent room in a shared flat with an Arabic speaking (ideally local) female. Would anyone be able to recommend a website where I may find such services...?

For finding a shared flat in Muscat or Nizwa, many expats and locals use OLX Oman, Expat.com, or even dedicated Facebook groups like Muscat Housing or Expats in Oman. You might also want to check with your language school, they often know local families or students open to hosting. Wishing you a great stay and lots of success with your Arabic course!
