I saw the band 20 or 25 years ago, and I just learned that Ian Anderson is doing a concert at the Volkshaus. Apparently, tickets have been on sale for months, and I have not been able to find any, despite looking for hours. Any advice?

Hi Suzanne, looks like the tickets are on sale through Ticketcorner and they aren't flagging them as available. If you're desperate you could chance it and try to get tickets on the door, though Zurich is a long way to go, and there's a chance you might have to pay over the odds if tickets have been bought up by 'touts'. Of course it'll also get exponentially more difficult depending on how many tickets you need.
You could try placing an ad in the glocals Zurich section to see if anyone has a spare ticket at the last minute (it does happen).
If you're mad keen on seen the mighty Tull, you could always fly to the UK, there are plenty of dates there (eg Hammersmith Apollo on the 27th), they're also playing Suttgart and Milan.

Thanks, Nicolas, for the sage advice. It's been a frustrating journey, but I don't know if I'm that in love with the group to fly to the UK for a concert...unless I already plan to be there. I guess I should check my calendar...

Well it appears that Tull played Montreux in 2003, so who knows, maybe they will be back there one day.
