Looking to buy a business - any business brokers anywhere?
For the life of me I can't find a decent company that is a business broker in Switzerland. We are looking to buy and IFA or wealth management business and wondered if anyone knows of a business broker here?.. Or even a direct contact with businesses that are for sale?

Thanks Verbier.

They look good but we have the in-house resources to do our own M&A work, we are really just looking for leads for companies that are for sales. Thanks for your reply, appreciate it.

Wallstreetbanker

Anything up to $5mn as a purchase price initially but we can go to $10mn for the right business), profitable, or not far away from profit.

MM,

They also SELL companies. I had a contact with them concerning a company that they had been mandated to sell. Might be worth a call/email to see if they have anything in the area you are looking.

Thanks for the note. The last deal my ex firm did was £20mn in the UK... Give me a call so I can explain a few details. I cannot for Confidentialty talk in too much detail as I do not know you. This part of the business is a sideline. I have noticed conglomeration of Family offices, I also would not lie to you and say I mapped the Swiss Market, as I have mapped the UK only. Good bargains are hard to find as you will have noticed in this current market. Moreover, there is sometimes and arrogance with the owners who expect a higher good-will.

Best wishes again,

Niaz

re : your post :

Like your nick. As a real estate broker with clients that sometimes have a business to sell along with their building or plot, I do have a couple businesses onhand.  But these are Warren Buffett' s like businesses - old-economy houses in the business of making or selling such products as craft items or washing machines.

One in fact comes with golden building plots that makes its price truly attractive.  Problem in this part of the world is people that look at companies as an addition of various pieces or assets are tricky to find.

Regards

There are a few "Investment/Business Angels" in Switzerland... you can google search them.. often their websites are a list of deals pending/looking for investment.. and sometimes there are finance firms on there.

Are you looking for one that has captive clients, or just AUM in a offshore/swiss registered product?

I know a few firms in Geneva that may be interested... but need to know more.

Send me a pm and Ill send you my email, we can better communictae there.

cheers

Charlie
