Without the intention of hurting your feelings, you sound as a person who has never had a dog before. Price? What type of dog? It sound a bit senseless. It is not a car, a computer or a phone. It is a responsibility one needs to take care of for 10-15 yrs possibly including relocating if one day you decide to move back home.
Before you go down this venture, how about walking the dogs at the SPA in Geneve?
You can figure out if this is really for you and for your family. Can learn French words to instruct the dogs as we are in Switzerland and dogs are more likely than not to be trained in French in the region and perhaps fall in love with one of the dogs at the rescue center.
I am saying this as I am active member of a dog rescue association and we see tons of dogs being bought and then kicked out because people suddenly realize that this is more difficult, expensive, etc. than they expected.
So I strongly recommend to start walking dogs first at the rescue center. Here are the details:

Good luck!

Why do you want a pre-trained dog as opposed to training one yourself? Have a look at the webpage Reka mentioned. The dogs there used to have owners so maybe they already know a few tricks

what do you mean by trained dog? I've seen very well-trained dogs that still had behavioral issues. I don't know if you mean by a trained dog who can do dog tricks on a party and can amuse you in the park. Dogs are companion animals. I have two dogs and personally i believe they adapt to your living style. You make them to follow you and your commands (They follow the alpha, no matter how much training they have got from the previous owner or from the dog handler :) Dogs are Dogs) I would suggest if you are looking for a dog, Go to animal shelter. Look for the dog, Take them for a walk and see if you like the dog and dogs like your company and adopt him/her :)
For a trained dog! Depends on how far you want to go but usually it would cost you somewhere 50 to 150 CHF an hour for dog obedience training and Yes! you have to be involved in it, Money doesn't buy everything (Private courses)
Cost Around: Puppy in suisse (2000CHF) and in France (1200 Euros plus taxes)
Compulsory Dog Course: Theory and practical (500chf rougly)
Dog Regisration: 300 CHF Rougly
Dog Taxes yearly: Rougly 300CHF
Grooming: (Yup it costs and depends on the breed and if you want to do yourself)
Food: 50 to 100 chf per month (Could cost more if you have big breed)
Insurance: if you are living in an apartment or house then you need a special insurance for dogs (In my last apartment dogs scratched the Wood flooring and when i was leaving the apartment, i had to contact the insurance)
Veterinary Yearly: Depends on the dog breed and situation, It can be sometimes very costly and Veterinaries are expensive in swiss.
Extra expenses: Toys, treats, damages they make on furniture and on your personal belongings.
Dog Sitter: If you are working full time job. Get ready to find a dog sitter, Hard to find the good one and would cost you somewhere 15 to 30CHF per hour.
Dog Traning: Depends if you want to go yourself and or want to hire a professional to help you. But rougly it would cost you somewhere in between 2500 to 5000 CHF or more if you are planning for compeitions.
and Most important the commitment with your baby for the rest of his/her life.
But if you love your dog. It worth paying every penny on them. Especially after a shitty day at work, You come back home and open the door, Here they are to welcome you. For a monment you forget about everything.
