I am in the process of becoming independent (domestic and childcare services). I have approached 2 of the big insurance companies for a loss of earnings insurance (perte de gains pour indépendants) only to be told that they don't provide this insurance for people aged 55 or over - I'm 57. One company might insure me for the extortionate sum of Chf. 2722.00 which is almost double that of a younger person and the conditions are unacceptable and basically wouldn't cover my basic and modest living costs anyway. I would appreciate any leads or solutions. Thankyou.

Did you go to AXA? That's the insurance I would go to though I have not searched for this point yet...

Hello, I work in insurance with a lot of different companies... I can ask around with who we work eith who would take perte de gain for 55 and over. Let me know if you are interested, thanks. George

Yes, I am already a client of AXA so thought they would come up with a better deal than they did.
