MISSING CHILDREN police need your help

(You can read this news/details in French in the Tribune de Geneve or TSR, or in English on GenevaLunch)

Two 6-year-old twin girls from St Sulpice are missing and police in Switzerland, France and Italy are searching for them: we're trying to alert as many people as possible. Their father disappeared with them last Sunday night, but his body was found in Italy late Thursday night, after he committed suicide. There is no sign of the girls, but the father phoned the mother Sunday night from Annecy to say the trio was with friends. The parents both worked at a multinational tobacco company in Lausanne, Irina S and Matthias S (we can't legally publish their full names). The girls speak Italian, French and Swiss German. Police bulletin in French and Italian and police number +41 21 644 82 31

Glad to see they are getting the word out, but for anyone in Switzerland the local coverage is more accurate and up-to-date, with media in direct contact with the police, for a start. We've done six updates and TSR and newspapers have all done several. It's being well covered in French and Italian media, where police are trying to nail down the father's trail. One detail that leaves a wrong impression, in the BBC story, is that the father "snatched" the children. Vaud police say they left with him for the weekend, as they had done before without any problem, but he failed to return them Sunday night and instead sent a text message saying he would drop them off directly at school the next day.

This should be a sticky until these children are found.

We have 37,000+ members given that each of these people should know at least 10 people we have a huge social network.

Hence why I gave it a bump, as much as I like the political debates, about subject that we can't control or effect, this is close to home and we as a group could be getting the message out to help find them.

Just by talking with others and showing/sending the pictures. Someone might spot them.

Or we could just say who cares... I have two little girls if anything ever happened to them I would hope others cared.

This is supposed to be a social network.
