I am thinking about buying a used 125 CC scooter that's registered in Switzerland but I live in France and am unsure whether whether this is a very complicated process. Can anyone who's done this tell me what I'd need to do and whether it's very expensive? I know I can call the sous-prefecture in Pays-Gex but as my French is a bit rusty so I wanted to find out first whether it's worth pursuing before tackling this with the sous-prefecture on the phone. Thanks.

www.ge.ch/san/immatriculation/welcome.asp?titre=Immatriculation
maybe through this website you can get more info. this is about register here but they can provide you info about how to do it in the opposite way.
