My wife doesn't speak french or english good enaugh to speak with the doctor. Does anyone knows if medical translator costs could be covered by basic insuarance?

Your basic health insurance premium will certainly not cover translation costs, so better follow Andrei’s advice and consult a Russian-speaking doctor. There are quite a few in Geneva.

I and my wife, we are studying french actively, but for now we are still very far from making conversation in french.
