Mobile phone subscriptions??

Is something else that has a crazy prize in CH?

Just noticed in the Offers section here, chf 50 off the first bill with orange...

chf 50 would pay my whole bill here (ecosse) for over 3 months! And I have unlimited calls/txt/internet ..

Would i be cheaper to keep my uk contract and pay roaming charges!?

wtf

I'm not surprised at all by the 50 CHF. I don't use my phone much but still end up with 60-70 per month (or more if I travel abroad).

Probably NOT cheaper to go back to UK contract - roaming is way too expensive.

I can't tell you more than that; look at your specified statement to figure out where the money is going and try to find out if there are cheaper options.

Haa I'm still in the uk enjoying the cheaper things in life..

I'm near the point of talking figures with my employer, so trying to get a grasp of what everything costs.. When i've been out to work so far in GVA, it's been on expenses..

I would recomend you swiss number. It comes cheaper living here and you should get unlimited free calls to uk and punch of other countries. Well at least sunrise is offering that option. And I am happy whit mine:) i have unlimited calls, text messages and internet. you end up yes to pay more then your deal is but it is only when you use numbers to call out of the range you have. Or use any other option not under the deal. But it is never more then 20-30 chf per month. :)

roaming is too expensive. especially with data

i'm happy with my 50 CHF a month with Orange. I get unlimited text (to any number around the world), 1 GB of internet, and 30 mins call.

Of course, you have cheaper options. There are subscriptions with unlimited calls to landline, international numbers, etc. etc.

I opted for just 30 mins call around Suisse since I use free Skype/Viber to call home. With 1 GB internet everywhere, i can talk to my family thru skype/viber anywhere. :-) cheaper that way

I started with MBudget pay as you go and found the network and prices pretty good, just over 6 months ago I went on a contract with Orange as I needed an upgrade / e-mail on my phone etc. for work.

Since then I have had nothing but problems: the coverage in my flat is terrible (400m from Geneva train station), I constantly get messages saying I have missed calls and I have had extortionate roaming charges - 14chf / minute on one call!! The customer service is very bad too- I have complained several times but not been refunded the charges. Every bill comes to about double my monthly plan price (mostly due to roaming charges, I travel a few days per month)

After my 3rd complaint about the network Orange finally admitted there is a problem close to my home and agreed to release me from the contract with no cost. It is such a relief to be rid of them though I am waiting for the change back to MBudget now and won't believe it's the end of the problems until I have switched over and paid the final bill.

In short- if you are deciding which network you want please save yourself a lot of problems and avoid Orange. Swisscom / MBudget is great, I've heard decent reports about Sunrise too.
