Monthly Train Pass without 1/2 price card

I'll be taking classes in Geneva for one month and am looking for the cheapest train option from Nyon to Geneva. I don't have the 1/2 price card, but do they offer a discounted monthly pass at the train station? I looked online and it looks like they offer something but you they have to mail it to you which takes up to 10 days. I need the pass starting on Monday. Anyone familiar with monthly passes? Thanks!

I used to live in Gland (which is 4min from Nyon) and work in Geneva.

I used to pay CHF170 for a monthly pass between Geneva and Gland, that's your best option.

I think that a daily return ticket Geneva/Nyon with 1/2 fare would be around CHF10, so if you travel 17+ days of the month, you have a better deal buying the monthly pass. It's also easier not having to buy a ticket every morning!

I just checked on the CFF website, monthly pass for Genève-Nyon is 157chf (second class). Nothing is written about 1/2 price card, so I guess it's the price without.

Link to order: https://www.sbb.ch/mct/wi/shop/b2c/adw.do?sprache=fr&artikelnummer=161

It's in french but it looks like you can switch to english on the top.

For the monthly pass, it doen't matter if you have a 1/2 fare card, it's the same price regardless

Hi, thanks for your replies, so helpful! Do either of you know if you can only buy the monthly pass online - or can this be purchased in person at the train station?
