Moving across to France - questions

Salut,

Looking at moving across the border and have so many practical/admin questions (taxes, admin, telephone). If you have done this before, would you make time for a coffee/glass of wine to share your knowledge/experience/tops.

Would appreciate it,

Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

I'm surprised no one has answered you yet here, as there are many who I know that have made the transition from Switzerland to France.

This website has a check list that might be helpful to at least prioritise your check list ; https://www.longtermrentalsinfrance.com/living-in-france/moving-to-france/510-administration-set-up-in-france.html

Good luck with the move.

Vinet is excellent. Great, reliable service at very reasonable prices. They are located between Grilly and Divonne.

They will keep their commitment to a timely repair and will lend you a vehicle if necessary.

I have lived in the area for 15 years, and after I have found them, I have stuck with them.
