Moving used furniture from Geneva to a secondary residence in France.

Has anyone had the experience with the douane Francais (French border) of moving used furniture (more than 1 year old) to a secondary residence in neighboring France? I am wondering if they make the person pay a lot of tax to do this? It’s not worth it if it’s cheaper to buy the furniture in France! I have been on the site below but off course it give no idea of roughly how much it would cost.

Oh sorry, cannot send you a PM as it stipulates only your friends can see your profile, so don't know where to address this too. Fact is, we live in F but have brought many items over the border from CH. Wanted to give you the benefit of our advice, but not on an open forum of course!
