My friend has just moved to Lausanne with her husband and three kids and is really struggling to meet any other families or find playgroups etc. She's a French American but grew up in London. Her husband in French but american educated and has lived in the UK for 10 years or so. She's funny quirky interested and interesting but is hitting brick walls left right and centre and I think starting to lose the will! If anyone out there has any suggestions I'd LOVE to hear you and be able to help her out.

I'm not sure of the Lausanne area but the English Church in Vevey organises a playgroup for kids http://www.allsaints.ch/children/. If your friend is wil make the trip them it has a good reputation.
There may be others runs by the Scottish/English church in Lausanne though.......

Hey Siobhan,
Ask your mate to post some kids activity on the glocals 'Things to Do' section. More parents will see it and will likely want to join her...
