regarding no-shows:

why not, in the case of a dinner, for example,  requiring a restaurant reservation based on numbers that have signed up, require each participant to pay 3-5 Sfr. which would be requested only if there were no-shows, to offset the restaurant's loss of revenue ( if they request to be reimbursed ) if everyone shows up, no problem, there is no contribution required. if there are no shows, they will be identified to the other participants. ( dare they show up or sign up again for another event? )

cancellation is of course acceptable via sms to the host/organizer  and no later than 4 hours before the event.

would this be agreeable and upheld by the glocals admin. (oded & nir)
