Can someone please help me figure out a reasonable salary range for a nanny (i.e., NOT an au pair) in Vaud/Morges? The job entails at least 35 hours per week, taking care of 2 children (aged 9 and 12), light housekeeping, occasional grocery shopping, and preparing meals. Weekdays only.
Is there a minimum to respect? Is it the same as with any workers in Switzerland? The nanny already has a B permit and experience with child care, but no degrees in a related field.

Hello Cecile, yes there are minimums. I use a company called Cheques Emploi, where everything is very clear, with the minimums and u can also pay through them (which makes life much simpler than dealing with all the different local entities) .

Thank you, Maria! Unfortunately, Chèques-Emploi cannot be used where the monthly salary is higher than the LPP threshold (CHF 1762.50 / month). With 35 hours of work per week, even at the minimum hourly rate of CHF 18.55, I cannot use that service.
