Naturalisation
This thread is for exchange of information about application for Swiss nationality. There are lots of steps, which can be different depending upon who you are and where you would like to live in Switzerland.
Anyone having information or experience do go ahead and share it.

Re: Naturalisation
Post 1

It seems that there is a new hoop to jump through in the application process. In at least two communes, it is now required to get the "livret de famille" before making the application for naturalisation. This requires two documents. a) original birth certificate  b) Marriage certificate or proof of not being married.

For the proof of not being married, one can go for an appointment to the consulate in Bern. Which can be made at this site

Marriage Affidavit Switzerland CHF98.00 (30 min) seems to be the form to ask for, but I'm not sure as there are three possibilities, and the consular telephone service was not sure either... I'll post when I know
