Please note they are located in the industrial district of Annemasse(74) past Airfield. They have a large selection of fridges of all kind, including american styles and US makes. Prices are even less expensive than Carrefour because some advertised references have slight alterations on the outside, very often on one side (scratch) or back but they are all sold with a full time warranty. They can also deliver, for a lumpsum transportation fee.

We bought a fridge from Carrefour in Segny almost 2 years ago and recently it decided to be a problem - it kept leaking, it wasn't cold enough, and then when we changed the settings, it became too cold that icicles started forming and cracked the walls.

The brand is called LADEN. If you MUST buy one from carrefour, don't buy this brand and just make sure that you get a reasonable warranty (like 2 years).

Lucky for us, it is still under warranty, and when we called carrefour to lodge a complaint, they sent an expert to see whether it can be saved. He decided that a new fridge was the only way to go, and made a replacement order but we've already been waiting for a month since then..!

I can't comment though on the other fridge brands on sale at carrefour, perhaps they are better..?

And I agree with Milord, it is worth having a look at electromenager near Annemasse. There is also a Darty branch near this area. Worth the drive to have a look at both stores. We just bought a dish washer from Darty and they deliver to Ferney.
