In the near future I need to change the license plates on my car from German to French. Hence, I also need to change my car insurance to a French provide. Does anybody know a branch or rep who speaks English? Also, it would be nice if the could do the paperwork and correspondence in English. Has anybody made any experiences?

I have my car insurance with my French bank, Credit Mutuel in Gaillard. My contact there speaks English. Im not sure it was the cheapest option but it made things a whole lot easier until I can speak a little more French. If you want his details I can forward them

Thanks for the quick reply. You probably need a bank account at Credit Mutuel to have car insurance trough them.... unfortunately, I already set up my bank account with Societe General, where only French is spoken :(

No problem, I have mailed you contact details for Veronique at Swiss Life in Annemasse who is also very helpful. They gave me quotes for Car and house insurance.
