Need Help with Mobile & Internet

Hi All!


I am coming to Geneva for my Mastersin September for around 11 months. I need some help to decide regarding the following:


1. Which is the best mobile service.


2. What is the cheapest plan if I want to have a blackberry connection. As in, the emails and messengers unlimited. I already have a phone. Is BB service available on pre-paid. I am ready to take a 12 month contract though.


3. Which is the best internet service. Does it not make sense to have a usb connection since I may be in the library or class most of the times and not at home. What is the avg. speed you get on the USB plans?


4. Please provide any other information regarding this to help me decide.

You may want to look on comparis.ch which plans suit you best.

Mobile phone services: www.swisscom.ch, www.sunrise.ch, www.orange.ch. You find all the prices there, also for mobile internet.


I recommend Sunrise.


Mobile internet (I guess that's what you mean with USB connection?) is still very expensive here. If you think you'll use internet mainly at the library then you might actually get free wireless there as a student. The public city libraries also have free wireless. So, if you don't think you might be using internet a lot at home, maybe you can manage like this for 11 months. Or maybe you're staying in a flatshare? Then you could share internet.
