New American store..

I just want to start off this is NO MARKETING, NO ADVERSTISING…Cool

I am starting off an American store. (NOT OPEN YET). I was tired of the huge prices of the store in Geneva and in Nyon. I thought it would be nice to have your ideas.  As I said and will repeat again the store is not open yet, but thought it would be nice if I would let the glocal’s community get a peak, and let me know maybe let me know what you think.  Not all products have their description as it takes us sooooo much time to do(but will be done for opening day :-P). The prices are done but not shown until opening day, do to our big competitor. :-D but to give you a idea on a pancake mix we will be 42% cheaper, on a butterfinger 48% cheaper, BBQ sauce 42% and it is pretty much the same on all products.

The products that you miss back from home?

The products that you might want but that are not listed on the website?

What do you think of the look?

How about the numbers of product?

Please do feel free to give me your ideas I am really looking forward to your ideas and opinions.

The website is: http://all-usa.ch

The count down until opening:  http://www.all-usa.eu/coming_soon/

Thank you to everyone that takes 2 seconds to go check it out, and maybe leave me a little comment.

will you carry Ding dongs, Twinkies, or Suzie Q's

I was really disapoited when I heard that Hostess was going to go bankrupt and close down, but if you have these, send me message I would love to order some of them. or Buy at your shop, where will it be?

also looking for Beef jerky, Slim Jims, Cream of Wheat, Jalepeno peppers, Cheeder Cheese,  and yeah Opus one. The other American Market is freaking expensive, so look forward to the compentition to make it more reasonable prices.

WOW THANKS FOR THE REPLY.

So will make sure these products will be on the next order.

We have been working real hard to find beef jerky at a reasonable price, but as of today we have not had any success. so if you have any addresses or contacts please do share, and we will for sure order them in express to have them opening day.

For the other products will be on our next order.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR COMMENTS.

Like I already said in a PM, the financial investment was already so big to have all the products in stock, and the opening of the company, and the website and everything that goes with it, we will not be able to have a physical store to start off. But it is definitly our objectif, and we want to open it as soon as possible. But right now just not possible. Cry

I was thinking of also offering some of the good clothings we all had back home like Hanes, fruit of the loom and so forth, what do you think? Please check your pms sent you a little something. Wink

Coppalla Rosso   http://www.franciscoppolawinery.com/wine/rosso-bianco

This used to be our everday red.  Have not been able to find something comparable.  I'd definitely by this. Also a good quality salsa-like Newman's Own.

I'm not into the SAD diet (standard American diet) so I don't eat any of the processed stuff, but there are a lot of healthy things I will miss about the U.S. like bubbies fermented pickles and sauerkraut, G.T. Dave's kombucha., good life peanut butter,  bob's red mill products, coconut palm sugar, coconut flour, almond flour,  organic seasonings,  coconut oil,  Bragg organic salad dressings and liquid aminos, 7th generation dish soap and cleaners, sprouted wheat bread, raw nuts, basically if you could open a whole foods type store I would be set!  Thanks

Well I will tell you what I buy regularly from other online import stores.  Cases of soda, usually I buy Diet Mountain Dew or Diet Root Beer the other thing is large bags of Pretzel and Peanut Butter M&M's.  I hate to say that you have other competition on these items for instance:

http://www.americanfood4u.com/Home_c0.htm

http://www.usafoodstore.co.uk/default.asp

http://www.americansweets.co.uk/index.asp

http://www.americanfizz.co.uk/index.php?route=common/home

Just some that I have bought from.

In general though good luck, more choices is always a good thing.

Virgin coconut oil is very expensive and difficult to find here.  I've never witnessed expeller-pressed coconut oil being sold anywhere in Europe.  These are not American products but in the western world, the US appears to be leading in consumer awareness and product demand.

Almond butter is almost impossible to find here so I go to BIO stores in France and pay almost €15 per kg for it.

A "real" peanut butter with no added sugar and no added oils is also impossible to find in Switzerland.  Again, BIO stores in France have it but it's overpriced and the peanuts are very minimally roasted (not a very good flavor).

Another idea: see if you can import a well-known powdered whey (protein) product such as Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold and sell the 2.2kg tub for under 80Sfr.

Avocado oil -- I don't recall if I've seen this in Coop or not.

Macadamia oil -- I definitely haven't seen this in Coop or Migros.

Maxwell House International Coffee is what I never find in Swizerland. I always get friends to get me some from the States. It's powder you mix with water to make coffee. It's in different flavours.

Not sure where to start . I guess I can start with a BIG thank you!!!

Eric: A Whole american Supermarket like wallmart??? I could say no problem will be done tomorrow, (but not possible) but it is my objectif to have a store. Now a whole supermarket not sure when I would have that, but will definitly do my best to include all your products... For the hot sauces I will try to have some for the opening day. They are not on the website as I have not received them yet.

Dantan: Thanks for the wine Idea, right now we are checking what are the international laws for importing wines, beers, etc. To be honest that was a glocal Idea and we never thought of it. I am working on it, and will be keeping everyone updated on that.

Joshua: Thanks for all these ideas. I try to keep up with all our competitors, I have checked the ones you posted. After a quick look we are definitly cheaper, and you will save BIG on shipping costs.

Richard: Thanks for all your ideas, will keep you updated on all these products, and I am on it.

Myriam, Dave: Coffee?? really did not think of it. So Folgers already in Coop, I am going to focus on Maxwell House then, or are prices for Folgers coffee High at Coop?

A.K.A. instant coffee Innocent

There are ton of brands who make it and the most popular brand happens to be Swiss (Nescafe). So what's wrong with the varieties you find here?

I've been getting them from the BIO Sartoriz near Publier or in Thoiry.  I stock up every time I'm around.

It would be nice if you could leave feedbacks, those who passed a order, how were the products? packaging? For all of you who just visited the website let us know what you thought of it, positive, negative. Things you would change etc.
