There is strong evidence to suggest that Apple will refresh their MacBook Pro line of laptops on Thursday, 24 February.
If you've been thinking about buying one, consider holding off for another few days to find out if the rumors are true.

i just read that the ipad 3 will be available in sept.
According to Kuo, The 3rd generation iPad will offer a retina display
like quality and resolution doubling to 2048×1536. According to another
analyst, iPad 3
will include true Retina Display and it will be released in 2012. From
another source we came to know that iPad 3 may release as early as this
September. We are expecting the 2nd generation iPad will be released in
April 2011.
iPad 3 will Get 2048×1536 Retina Display is a post from Solid Blogger
may well be worth waiting for this too!!

i read that the iPad 2 might be pushed back until june or later. but, i would take any talk about the 3rd generation with a HUGE grain of salt, especially since the 2nd gen isn't out yet.

ditto re: iPad2/3
<delete, delete, delete>
It seems that's all the rage on the blogosphere, the iPad 3. But, not *too* surprising. It's one of their latest features, so if it didn't make it to the iPad 2 then certainly it would be on the iPad 3.

It's no longer a rumour, it's a reality. If you have spare funds you could get a new toy.
My four year old MBP still does what I need it to do, and it's been replaced by an MBA (macbook air, not the studies).
Now the MBP is for nothing but video editing, and compression work/dvd authoring... in other words gathering dust.

Yeah and the new macbook pro still has only USB 2.0, what a dissapointment.

Yes, but it has the new Thunderbolt connection, which is going to blow USB 3 out of the water. Of course, there are not any peripherals yet, but they are coming.
According to performance tests, these new machines are significantly faster. Very tempting for me, but I just bought an MBP in August and with my ssd drive it screams.

I just got it :) I'm a newcomer to Mac
