Regarding your insurance question, I would recommend that you post something with a more focused title, like "I need advice on medical insurance in Switzerland."
Not everyone reads the "I'm new here" posts, so your request might go unnoticed by the people who know about insurance.
I believe there are also some discussions in the forums that discuss insurance. You might want to search there.
I wish I had knowledge or advice for you, but I don't. (Don't ask why!)
Again welcome, and don't forget to avail yourself of the many wonderful opportunities to meet people through glocals: Things-to-Do and Groups. Also the classifieds for buying/selling/renting and Guides to review services, establishments, etc.
