Meeting people on here is simple, checkout the Member activities and join one.. Tonight is a good example.. The Sindy River Party , you'll be able to meet lots of new people , and don't worry about coming alone, it's all very friendly..



There is a regular "new member", "fresh fish" event to make new friends , and if you have a special interest and want people to join you , just create an event yourself .. Like "Extreme Knitting" or "Beer Bottle collecting " , you'll certainly find like minded people here.

i quite like la sip for a club, but i have heard hey can be a bit funny letting people in. la terrace is a great bar for the nice evenings.  well anywhere on the lake is good, its just some are cheaper than others!

I can just help you by giving you a list of the night clubs I know :

Bypass club (Hype and fashionnable)

MàD (Relaxed, rather small but nice)

MOA club (A medium sized club, two dancefloors, very popular)

Platinum (I don't really like it, but if you are into jet-set, this might please you)

Palladium (Concert hall, popular but in a bad area of Geneva "Jonction")

KAB (Alternative electro club, don't know about the security very well, best known as "L'Usine". If you like hardcore, heavy metal or techno, this might suit you.)

Cubes Club (newly opened, didn't go there yet).

Try going on the websites : www.tillate.com or www.cityvox.ch the best places and events are announced on those websites. You just need to read a tiny little bit french.

Many restaurants offer the choice for Karaoke, but I'm not sure it's the same as in the UK or US. I've been in one in Asia, it was more like a little private room. Here, it's in front of unknown people, in a restaurant.

I agree with you, peaky... I'm into La Sip, but the first time I went there I got DE-nied. Best to dress to 10's if you're going out clubbing in Geneva, girl.



Oh and hey - I'm in the same boat. Just got out of school at Villanova and I'm going to be in Geneva in a few weeks for work, so if you want to meet up then shoot me a PM. Just one question... did you graduate Florida?

during summer, i find parties in clubs less good, less people, often too hot, and good djs are going somewhere else ... but you might like the other summer places to meet people, like the terasse of bains des paquis, by the lake, the pré-fêtes and fêtes de genève with free concerts and terasses by the lake and so on, the concerts at the parc la grange (again free), the parties on the boat Le Bateau, ...

Girl, if you are looking for snobbish, over-priced (and rated) places to have "fun" then go on... Plenty in Geneva... Not the ones I go to.

I also think you shouldn't put your email on this website, over 30000 members on Geneva alone, not all are "nice". If you are a psycho hidden behind a photo yourself, maybe there are smarter and stronger ones than you :P Nobody is secure.

If you've posted this message just to find somebody to go out with, you'd better create a member activity than sending your email... I've met a lot of nice (and less nice) people thanks to it.

If you want to go out on your 10's, and because you are pretty, you'd have no trouble getting into the Platinum that is a "jet-set" meeting place, and stays quite popular at the same time.

If you want somewhere relaxed, just go walk in the streets with friends and see what there is. Best technique. :cool:

What's the significance of 10? As in go out on your 10's and dress to your 10's.

ohhhhh, dressed up to the nines of course i know. they were saying 10's up there! i wasn't aware the value had gone up. stupid me for not putting 9 and 1 together.
