Non-EU/EFTA national married to Swiss job chances?

I came from the Philippines and I'm married to a Swiss. I have a B permit. I've been living here for 4 years and I got an MBA diploma recently. I would like to know my chances of getting a professional job in Geneva. Am I considered a third-world national, which falls on a quota for employment and other limitations and conditions?

I have read these somewhere:

*The potential employer has to prove that the vacancy was sufficiently advertised and that no candidate from Switzerland or the EU was qualified or willing to do the job.

*The applicant must possess the personal and professional qualifications required for working in Switzerland in general and for that specific job in particular. It’s mainly specialists and executives from third states that can be found in Switzerland.

Hello Darlene,

With a B permit for family reunion you are exempt from these restrictions. It should normally state "regroupement familial avec avtivité". This means that from an immigration perspective, you're free to accept any job offer.

Cheers,

Stephanie

Darlene,

Stephanie is correct about the job market, your considered out of the quotas, you can apply for any job, your qualified for or any offer you receive.

So no issue for employers.

so good luck and hope you find something soon, its a difficult employee market right now. Be patient
