Hello! Does anyone know if it's possible to get an L Visa or take classes at a vocational school to get a B permit in Switzerland as a non-EU national? For someone who is looking for work, but whose tourist visa (3 months) might expire before he finds work and gets a permit. Any advice or the name of a lawyer, permit expert or something, would be great! Thanks!

Hey,
I think that if you register to certain schools / Universities which are recognized by the state, then you get a student visa which allows you to stay in CH.
I think this is the case also for some language schools, like IFAGE.

Thanks for that! He had heard about IFAGE, but is now based in Zurich. Does anyone know of any schools that are approved in Zurich? Also, how many hours of classes would he need to take to apply for the permit?
