By arrangement, met up with a fellow member of the Glocals forum in Lausanne yesterday, who had been advertising a carpet for sale. Not only did this person require a substantial sum for the item, but when laying it out, there was a large hole in the middle. Just to point out that it was a complete waste of time, so other members don't have a similar experience

Don't let it put you off the site. This place is like anywhere else, there are plenty of great people and then there are those who are just looking to take advantage of whatever they can. Wasting time is no fun but you won't get the most out of anything if you're not willing to take a few risks!
