Overeaters Annonymous

HI guys,

So I did some research and can't find any over eaters annonymous groups in Geneva.

So I thought I would start one. If anyone is interested in either joining or has experience in running such a group please let me know?

I contacted a friend from Webster University who has many final year students in Psychology who need the work experience and I'm trying to find someone who has the experience, to help those of us who have trouble stepping away from the fridge/ cupboard when bored, lonely, sad happy etc etc whatever the emotional eating habit it might be :)

The Idea with over eaters is to provide a support group and we each have a few numbers to call for support instead of taking to the fridge/cupboard. The same principals as AA.

This is a touchy subject for some so if you would prefer to just send a mail here at glocals then feel free to do so and I will not mention your details to anyone.

Take care

Tam

Post 1

For htose that emailed me and new people reading this forum, I am starting a group it will be on THursday nights.

The following is the add I put on Glocals

To all of you out there who are starting to dread getting back into a swim suit.

I have decided to create this support group meeting once a week at my place to help each other set weight lose goals and stick to them.

We can make Thursday's the weight in day (you can weight yourself in the morning and bring result to meeting).

I always find it hard to reach this goal on my own and thought a bit of support and someone to have to answer to each week would help me finally get there.

I have set a goal of 8.5kgs in three months, but you can set whatever goal you like and as a group we will try and help you reach it.

So step away from the fridge/cupboard and come join us every Thursday night from 6.30 till 8pm.

For the details please send me an email.

Cheers
Tammy
