PS3, Bluray, 3D help needed!!

Wondering if any one can help!

I have a new "singing & dancing" Philips 3D TV along with the glasses etc. The playstation 3 (2 years old) is connected which plays Bluray discs no problem but I cannot get the 3D Bluray discs to work?

Also can you play any PS3 games or do they have to be 3D compatiable?

The playstation is updated with the latest updates/softwear and a high speed HDMI cable...........Fingers crossed someone can give me answers as if not I am going to fire bomb Fust!!

When you say "I cannot get the 3D Bluray discs to work" what exactly do you mean? Is the PS3 connected directly to the TV or via a home cineva receiver? "High speed HDMI cable" doesn't mean anything either. You need to make sure your cable is HDMI 1.4 spec. You also need to connect it to the HDMI 1.4 port on your TV (you probably have several and not all of them are 1.4). There are severa types of 3D transmission - side-by-side, top-and-bottom etc - you need to select the correct one on your TV.

The PS3 needs the 3D BluRay firmware update, which should be free.

Thanks for your replies, I will check everything again today.....

The PS3 is connected to the TV using the HDMI cable. (1.4 spec), I have also checked that the TV is on the correct transmission - the sky 3D channel works on "side by side"
