Paint, hardware store, plumber. Ideas?

­­­­I will be helping a friend with remodeling his apartment soon.


I would like to know if someone could suggest:


- The best place to buy paint, either in Geneva or neighboring France, especially with the low Euro…


- A big hardware store either in Geneva or neighboring France. I just know Jumbo in Meyrin. We need to get locks, lamps, etc


- A good plumber, preferably English speaking, who can come to Versoix to make the changes needed to install a washing machine in a kitchen.

1. Best paint is the "dispersion monocouche" (double thickness) that can be stained, to be bought in Migros Do-it-yourself (Praille, Thonex, Meyrin)

My 2 cents; there are 2 Leroy Merlin (French DIY) stores close to the Swiss border:
