I doubt everyone will agree, but the line-up has just been released...and it has to be the worst listing for any paying festival in history! I'm sure there are a few unknown gems in there, but no big name hooks apart from Jamiroquai... possibly Milow... but that's about it. Last year we had Kaiser Chiefs, Moby, White Lies, Amy McDonald... etc - This year nothing! What's happened...? Looks like it's going back to what it once was... the "Nyon Folk Festival!" Bummer... anyway just needed to express my disappointment with anyone that gives a rats arse! Booooo Paleo!

What about Crosby Stills and Nash? That is if you are into the old stuff :-)

Further to my mild rant... If anyone has anything positive to say about any bands in the line up, that would be great... I will probably take a wild punt on going at least one day anyway ... I'm sure the atmosphere will be just as good... but it's nice to have at least one gig to look forward to and commandere a patch of grass early with a few beers!

Yeah, CSNY that's serious retro... Probably worth a look for a bit of foot tapping with a beer... but unless you have pictures of Cliff Richard and Buddy Holly in your wallet, I doubt that will do it for everyone!

... I will go Friday only because I like the athmosphere and there is Jamiroquoi ... the Iguana and all the dinosaurs are not really for me ... I will ask to my grands if they are interested ...
I'm sure there will be plenty of tickets so no need to hurry up buying online ...

No - I find it degrading to punk.
Jamiroquai was already at paleo a few years ago (like 99% of the big names invited in 2010..), and it was probably one of the best show i saw there, he really has an incredible energy on stage.
If some of you like Hip Hop, yes it's in french, but NTM on stage is cool too. Not sure if it's so great for people who didn't listen to their albums 15 years ago however. There is NERD the same day, heard good things about his shows so far.
Or you can go see JayZ and many other great artists at Eurockeennes 3 weeks earlier in belfort, much better programation, but totally different athmosphere.

….what's it to be a punk, what's punk about?...
being free from stereotypes, being true yourself, doing what you like to do, liking what you want to like, fallowing your own rules and principles, not the others'... not trying to fit yourself into any category, not limiting yourself by expectations of others, stopping labeling yourself .... and not giving a ---- what the others think or say about you.
Say “ I'm a punk” = a LABEL “punk”
So, what's punk is about? …. Punk is about not being a punk.....
I don't see how this ad is degrading to punk.
What I see: one guy was offered a huge chunk of money by a bunch of managers from some insurance company …. for doing ….nothing (ok, almost nothing). He takes the offer and he doesn't give a ---- what people think or say about this deal....
What I see: Jimmy is being himself...
I don't know much and am not so interested to know about Eggy's life (private life)....
But give the man a break. Being 63, still he is one of the best and most charismatic rock-performer!!!

Sorry, no. I'm not in the habit of giving things to people that haven't earned them. And in this case: it's no breaks for Iggy. Your argument extracts the aspect of individualism from the punk ethic and stretches it so far beyond the absurd that even I wouldn't try to pull it off. While jamming the safety pin through the nose for the first time, everbody whispers the same words: I will never sell insurance.

Yeah - that's just because people under the age of 35 or 40 don't like going to dinner with people Iggy's age. It's OK, though, because soon there will be a Musical Chairs Dinner that all ages can attend. Iggy will probably go to that. I'd go myself, but I heard that Lou fucking Reed (68) is going to be there.
